How much might I be able to get for my K1000?

I would like to start up with digital photography with a DSLR (instead of my current point and shoot), and I was wondering if anyone can tell me how much I may be able to get for my camera, so I can put money towards a DSLR. Here are some pictures of everything I have:

I know the camera bag itself is worth at least $30

Is that one of the late model plastic bodies made in China? I don't see an AOCo logo on the prism.

I wouldn't recommend a buying a metal body for more than $100 or so in good condition - there are too many other good options out there. That said, as a seller because the K1000 is legendary and widely recommended as a starter camera many retailers price them in the $200 to $250 range and that tends to keep prices inflated in other markets too.

Have a look through this forums completed sales.

Check eBay for completed auctions with similar items.

Also KEH.com is another site that sells used camera equipment.

Value depends on market. There is a lot of geographic variability. In my locale, there is a healthy interest in photography as well as an active community of film shooters. The camera repair and used camera shops keep pretty busy. Values here are on the high side. Those shops will sell a K1000 with normal lens for about $100 USD to $140 USD with a 60 day warranty as opposed to $60 USD for a ME Super in similar condition. Value used on craigslist is $60 USD to $100 USD, with most bodies needing a good cleaning and new seals.

Values in other locales may be quite a bit lower.

As for your camera...Your zoom and flash might enhance saleability, but do not increase the value.

Your selling price should be well below that of a dealer like KEH, unless you too offer a warranty.
eBay Completed Auctions for the same models in the same condition is probably your best guide.

I second ChrisPlatt. Check the Ebay Closed prices and then substract 10% - 12% that the sellers pay ebay in fees.
