Todays Misadventure = 2 nice cameras

I met up with a friend today, for a short hike, and on it I got to thinking that it'd be nice having a film camera dedicated for B&W photography.
At first I was thinking that I'll just use my old (and yet new to me) Ferrania Lince 2, however then I need to bring along a meter, and I hate the idea of possibly damaging it.

So after I left my friends house I decided to check out Value Village, 2 blocks from his place.
At first I didn't see anything I wanted, however I decided to check back.
That's when I found this old Polaroid

Although I know that it's practically useless I just had to buy it, when I saw the $6.00 price tag.

Then while rummaging through the bin some more I came across this UGLY case

I When I picked it up I was surprised that it wasn't empty, however I was even more surprised when I opened it up and saw this.

Yes, it's as clean as it looks.
I tried all the basic functions, and everything seems to work nicely. When the price tag said $15.00 I decided to buy it.

There was a 1/2 shot roll of film in the Pentax, so I'll try developing it tomorrow night.

It's already loaded with a roll of T-Max 100, so I hope that it works as nice as it looks.

I'll post some pic's from it, after I blow them off, and develop them.

Thanks Carl,
It's just an A-series 50mm f2.0. I guess that it was pretty much free so I really can't complain

Nice work You could sell that 50mm and then the cameras would be free!
Of what age is the polaroid?

Sure, tell me that I overpaid now, when it's too late
Why not

Sell the lens, now there's an idea
The Polaroid looks like it's 1963 - 1966. So not my oldest camera, but close to it and still older than I am.

Although plans change, I took the screwmount adapter off my PZ-20, and it's now on the K1000. Since I have a fair amount of beautiful screwmount glass it should be a winning combo for my B&W work.

My plans for the old PZ-20 are to use the 50mm from the K1000 as my a walk around lens, and my Sigma 135 - 400 for wildlife. Turning it into my general use camera.

My MZ-6 is dedicated for my coloured artwork, and is presently loaded with Velvia 50. I've never used it without screwmount lenses

Nice K1000 for $15! Also, the Polaroid uses the pull-apart pack film, so Fuji FP-100 may work in it. The SX-70 and 600 film is too new for one of that vintage.

Useless? Hardly.

I was looking at The Impossible Project's site earlier today, thanks for bringing it up.

Thanks George, it appears to be a sweet camera. I just located a replacement battery for it, and since I can get film for it I'll have to shoot a roll sometime.
I've never shot a Polaroid, so I've got the itch.

I heard that you have a safe location for radioactive lenses, so I'll dig out the geiger counter and see if it's one of them.
If it is it's yours
Just don't ask me to start testing my Super Tak's
