Sigma 24-60mm on superA?

From what I've read it seems the modern Pentax lenses that don't have an aperture ring can only shoot at their minimum aperture on the superA.

Is this correct?

I'd love to use my Sigma 24-60mm on a film body as the focal length would be great. Assuming it's useless if this is the case.

You should be able to use the lens in shutter priority (Tv) and program (P) modes on the Super A with the camera setting the aperture to the correct value automatically. The body will treat the lens as if it were an A series lens set to the A position. The camera's exposure compensation feature means that being stuck with auto modes isn't too restrictive.

I bought an MZ-5n for the same reason, I have some aperture ringless lenses that I wanted to use on a film body.

I have a Super Program and it works well with lenses that don't have an aperture ring, in the same fashion as mentioned by Steinback. I recommend using the Tv mode, it's quite easy.

Thanks for the replies.

I've tried to use it in Tv before. The camera showed the aperture as low as f/1.2 in the viewfinder.
Because of this I thought the body would be unable to control the aperture properly.
