Hi,
Built from 1991 to 1995, the PZ-10 was likely the first power zoom SLR. It was intended to be a simple to use camera with plenty of automation.
I got two untested "as-is" PZ-10 bodies for the astronomical sum of $1
I inspected them and this is what I found:
Camera #1:
Broken LCD glass cover. Other than that everything seems to work properly including the flash, advance, LCD etc.
Camera #2:
Looks a bit cleaner. Scratched LCD glass but not broken. Missing battery door. Testing revealed a stuck shutter curtain.
So I removed both LCD glass covers, polished the scratched one and installed in the working body. A good clean up and...
Ready for the world!
Unfortunately, I don't have any power zoom or FA AF lenses to try, but I tested it with a trusty old A 50mm f2 and everything works!
Camera # 2 will probably be used as a Guinea pig to practice camera repairs.
Thanks,
