I think you may be better off with this page

japan exposures | films and more (formerly Megaperls Japan Webshop)

this shows the available color combinations sold by them.

which points to an even better Pentax (Japan) page

http://www.camera-pentax.jp/k-x/index.html#/simulator/190604

where you can select the body, grip colors and lens combinations.

Enjoy!

I don't think there will be many pics here of the colorful K-x's... Even just the red/white/navy ones are not easy to see in person. Unfortunately, the other color combinations will be pretty rare in the US...

Oops - forgot - the forum is international!!

With the DA 70/2.4 Limited

With the M 50/1.7

With the DA 40/2.8 Limited

With the DA 35/2.8 Macro Limited

With the DA 21/3.2 Limited

The red is highly sensitive to lighting conditions and doesn't have a lustre or richness to it. It looks like red plastic, not something painted a rich red. My wife has a Dell netbook that looks like it has a clearcoat on and possibly a little metalflake too. The Dell looks sophisticated, the red K-x less so.

Still, I'm really enjoying this little camera. The interface is fab - I don't miss a top display at all - and I'll probably be able to take it places where more "serious" black cameras won't be let in

wow! what a nice-RED-camera!!
but, why in this pictures, the red color seems more darker?
IMO, i think it's Maroon.. Is it because the light?

that's something i want to try to Eliminate.. that's why i post this thread to see the Actual color of the camera (not a simulator or influenced by the light or the angle..)
but, thanks for sharing..

Have a great hunting with your K-x!

I said elsewhere that the red is very sensitive to lighting conditions. There's no such thing as "actual color" - it's dependent upon the environment. Last night I adjusted the photos on my color calibrated monitor to match the camera as it sat on the desk. I had to do that because the white balance was off and I took the shots in mixed lighting.

Today, in daylight and under incandescents, the red seems to have a little more blue in it, but it's certainly not maroon.

Must be a difference in monitor settings. Those pics are a nice bright cherry red on my screen, not maroon.
