Amazon: 18-55 kit 1599.95, body only 1599.95 *this is strange.

Adorama: 18-55 kit 1749.95, Body only 1599.95

I will update when the price changes. Please help if you see the price changes.

if they aren't authorized then they are by implication Grey market. that will affect the warranty. All the complaints i've seen are related to the gray market issue and the way it's not clarified. I wouldn't buy a gray market item that costs 1400 bucks. I don't know of any manufacturer that will honour warranty work on items bought through unauthorized dealers

It would have to go to Japan for repair, which could be more time consuming. The good news is that according to B&H, I can still get the extended warranty, so at that point, I don't think it'd have to go back to Japan.

ABe's of Maine has K-5 body for 1275. I'm trying to figure why K-5 vs. K-7. B&H in NYC has it for 1279. But there are differences in extended warrantee available for purchase. B&H's is Very Expensive (389 for 5 years)

It's not even close in image quality, K-5 has a sensor far superior to the K-7 (it's 2 generations newer)
