Just bought a new K-7 w/ 18-55 WR lens from Buy.com for $400. Probably some left if you check soon.

The price didn't jump. It's sold out from antonline, which is who had it at the reduced price.

We'll see what happens. Looking at antonline's site, I'd estimate it's a mistake. They were selling body only at over a thousand dollars. Best of luck. If you receive the cameras, fair warning, I'll be a sore loser.

I'm basically waiting for a cancellation. I'm hoping this comes through but I'm not real confident. If so then do I keep the K-7 or sell it and use the profits for glass?

I hope we'll all be seeing them on our doorstep in a week! I have already tried to pass on good karma by offering my K-x to a co-worker for a great price if this deal goes through, hopefully what goes around comes around, haha. We shall see!

I had a similar experience buying a camera dirt cheap but my order got canceled for "price mistake" reasons.

Wouldn't it be a beotch if pentax had dropped the price and I couldn't resell it for what I paid for it? My wife would be pizzed... I'm waiting for a ship notice or a cancellation.

I would expect a cancellation notice. Don't get me wrong, I ordered one too just in case, but I've had this happen 3 times with buy.com specifically (and Adorama a couple times) where there is a price mistake and they just end up canceling your order with an apology. Like I said, worth a shot, but not likely to come through.
