Yeah, I'm happy with my Kx, but being able to decide if I like the K7 better side by side would be nice. My old man needs a camera, too, and it would be nice to surprise him with such a high-end item. Amazon shows that my order is being prepared for shipment and cannot be cancelled; however, I haven't gotten any emails or anything from them.

What I wonder is if this Unbeatable, Inc saw the lowered price and adjusted accordingly in fear of being stuck with inventory.

This one just disappeared. Not before I got my order in. And a copy of my invoice as well as the html that showed the price.

We'll see how this goes. This happened once with the K20's back in the day. Amazon cancelled the orders.

In a way I feel like the second one really was a competitive reaction to the first, and therefore might not have been so much a mistake.

The first was a mistake. The second, as a reaction to a mistake, was intentional. After all, your friend's mistake of jumping off the cliff does not oblige you to do the same... and if you do the same thing it is not really a mistake but at least presumptively a conscious decision...

If that is true... and we will ** never ** prove the truth... the second one really would be liable for the sales.

We'll see.

I really hope this is "Clearing off inventory" for making way for spanking new k-5s. The deal came on SlickDeals as well, so I think they sold out instantly- that's probably why the listing disappeared from Amazon.
