Samsung f2.0 35mm (new) on eBay for $249
Posted By: joephilly, 07-19-2011, 07:07 AM

I can't vouch for the seller, but I wanted to share the deal I came across:

Samsung 35mm f/2.0 D-Xenogon Lens EZ-DLENS017/E1 | eBay

As I write this, the seller has 3 of these lenses. IMO, a great deal on the re-branded Pentax F2 35mm lens!

They've got the 16-45mm equivalent for $259 as well - pretty darn good deal for a new lens!

Why would you tell me that? The LBA man! I was content not looking. I think I have the willpower to skip that one though. Just barely...

If they lower it again I might be tempted, darn it. Added to my watch list, haha.

Thanks joephilly for turning me on to this deal - whattagreatlens!

So far desk testing on my K-5 wide open reveals this baby is chock full of finger pricking sharpness and pentaxian color.

I was away this weekend so didn't get a chance to play outdoors with it but will try to get some shots soon.

Took this lens on a short excursion to do some street shooting yesterday.

I am amazed by the color and clarity of the images.

Most were converted to B&W and can be seen in the thread https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/mini-challenges-games-photo-stories/43981...ml#post1601191 but I left this one as captured so you can see.

Think I am going to like this lens for street shooting.

Rub it in! It was still worth every one of those 249 dollars.
