I already have one, but Samy's camera is offering the K-5 (after rebates) for $749. That's half what I paid for mine a year ago!

Arrived today. $749.00 delivered. Might put it on E-bay for $900 and make $150.00 on the deal. Could sell the K-7 for $400.00 and end up with a $350.00 K-5. Still undecided.

I have a sundown shoot planned for tomorrow and a AM shoot for Sunday. I will put it through its paces.

Only 8,xxx pictures taken with it and just over 1 year old. If you are interested let me know.

I use a Black Rapid with it and there is some wear around the tripod mount from the metal clasp. Other than that is looks like new. I will even include all of the new parts from the K-5 like the cables and strap. Not sure what shipping would be. Still have the manual and SilkyPix software.

My copy arrived last Monday, after taking 10 days to ship (free ground shipping option - as I really did not need it the next day) (actually it took about 5 hours to arrive, from the time they shipped in LA and the plane landed at the Phoenix distribution center - according to the tracking number), and I was told that this was the last one in their stock - when I ordered it. What ever. Interesting enough, the manufacturer date was 11/24/2011, and the image count was 0 (photome). Images so far are perfect. Going to go try out more today.

I have no idea, if it was a pricing error, or what - but I will take it and be very happy using it. One side note is, that I see that the new K-01 (either the same sensor or very similar) is priced at $749 MSRP (better video, no viewfinder, less a couple of shooting modes - it appears) - the same as the price at Samy's. I can easily see the K5 bottoming out at $749 as the existing inventory is sold off. So it might have or might not have been a pricing error - who knows....

So off to have some fun taking some pictures and play with the new acquisition.....

I'm pretty sure it was a pricing error. Pentax has this $300 rebate for the k-5 till the end of march. that's why amazon is selling its k-5 for like $10**.00 compared to the original price of $14**.00. I'm thinking that they made a mistake and added another 300 off on the k5 that's why they sold it for $7**.00
