You just HAD to show me that. I do not scan ebay because bad things happen to my credit card sometimes. So here is my sarcastic THANK YOU for giving me something to agonize over for the next 5 days. Lets see, first I need an adaptor to my k-5....then a new gimbal....then a pickup truck and fork lift to load it .....

If you by the lens it might be cheaper to pay me to courier it over there for you. I'm in if you are willing

Bonsoir monochrome,

If I cash in on the above ... you're "on" ... of course now I have to go out and actually buy a lottery ticket or two ... A+, J

I really think this would be just the thing for me after a couple years of trial and error now. I like the focal length, just right to get tiny birds filling the frame and long enough to get quality shots of the bigger raptors that I shoot. I have a spare adapter just waiting for one of these, but my decision to go back to school last year has seriously cramped my ability to pay for this hobby for the time being.

Maybe what I am really hoping for is that someone here will buy it and then it will come up in the market place in a year or so from now. I will pay the forum member a nice fee for holding it for me

The highest bid was $3,150.00 which is a little less than I thought but still out of range for me. Anyone here get it??

Been for sale for 5 months now. It comes up and then disappears then reappears about two weeks later. ot a bad price, it has seen a few price drops throughout its listing. If it was a more usable lens it would have sold already...

Are you talking about the one out of Japan? I have seen that one, I think it started with a buy it now around $7,500.00-8,000.00 and it has been relisted each time with a $200.00 price drop.

The original posting for this thread was for a different lens out of Boston with a traditional auction with the opening bid of $1,500.00 and final selling price listed above.

Ah, my bad. I just saw ebay and immediately thought it was that one... This is the one 672 purchased which he has sent off for some repairs to the aperture ring.
