New rebates: Sigma 70-200mm ($100 off) and 24-70mm ($75 off)
Posted By: Adam, 04-02-2012, 09:18 PM

Now that the prices of the Pentax 50-135mm and 16-50mm lenses have nearly doubled, I think these two new Sigma rebates are just in time:

Sigma 70-200mm F2.8: $100 off

Sigma 24-70mm F2.8: $75 off

Even though the 24-70mm isn't as wide as the 16-50mm, I'd take it over the Pentax any day now that the price has skyrocketed. Another option is the 17-50mm, but the rebate on that has just expired (new price is $669).

I checked Amazon earlier in the day and saw the 50-135 was $849, so I figured Pentax was doing the pricing policy right. Nobody is going to pay 1599 for the DA*50-135, are they crazy?

The sigma 70-200 OS FLD is looking really tasty @ $1,299 right now.

Well, that 50-135 is great news for me because it's been that price here in OZ since whenever. I actually paid 1500 for mine late last year. BTW, that Sigma lens is a killer in both quality and weight. I was about to buy one when I got a great deal on a 60-250 & 55 on eBay. I'll have to wait for my testing proceedures to come to their conclusion before deciding how to proceed from here.

You also neglected to point out that the 60-250 is now listing at $1999.95 at B&H. I just got a 3mth old one off eBay for AU$910 so I'm pretty chuffed right now.
