Pentax FA* 85mm f/1.4 ED IF Lens 85 f1.4 SMC FA Star 0027075033443 | eBay

Seems to be some slight issues with the internal elements, but he claims no issues with image quality. Quite a bargain at the price.

Man, there is some epic glass out on the 'bay right now. FA*300/2.8 !

Thats a good price for the 85, And that 300 has been there for weeks now too, I've been watching it get relisted and relisted again, very odd that nobody has bought it, but I think it may be because those with that sort of money for lenses ect, are maybe jumping to a different brand for the old reason (I'm not saying the words).

As a note, a better alternate lens hood for the FA*85 is one from the 645 FA 120mm macro, my original FA*85 hood became very loose and I now use the one from the 645 and it fits on "well" not total compatable, but it has worn in, and never comes off.

Yeah I wouldn't buy a lens for 3500 for a system that has an uncertain future either.

What uncertain future? Has Pentax said they are doing away with the K mount? Yeah there are a lot of people that want a full frame camera(yeah I said it) but its not like there won't be a camera to use it on. Its an awesome lens that fits in because there isn't another Pentax lens with the same specs in production, you have to go to a 3rd party to get it currently.

$3500 for a $2800 lens, plus $95 shipping, plus Japan, plus WTH. Sure looks purty but I'm not dropping that much money through PayPal for an item half way around the world.

P.S. - you cna get one in any large city if you know the right used dealer.

REVEAL YOUR SOURCES!! I live near Clinton so I don't really stand a chance of getting anything worth buying locally. Not that I want this lens, cause I don't 300mm is right in the middle for me either too long or too short.
