64GB card

Isn't the 64GB card a SDXC device? You would have to have equipment capable of reading SDXC (not SDHC) to read it right?

Yeah, it is. SDHC only goes up to 32.

The k5, k7, kx, 645d and kr all support sdxc, as do modern card readers.

i have to say the card type is very confusing...i have read that the pentax k5 doesn't need more than the 30mb because it can't go any faster but then someone else says get the 45...i have also read don't get the hd video and then other ones say get it....so i have 1 card that is the extreme 30mb hd and the other is extreme 45mb ...i just checked sandisk and they say i should get SDSDRX3-032G-A21...adam can you help to explain the difference..thanks

Even if the camera is maxed out on transfer speed faster cards can speed up offloading images to the computer.

You should ask this in the ask BH forum as they probably know a lot about the best cards.

Thanks Adam. I've added the 16gb to my wishlist at Adorama.

Checked again today and the 64GB card is $45.95 and free shipping. Bought two, thanks for the heads up.
