There is a very very long thread on this seller here. Here's one persons summary of many peoples (all Australian though) posted experiences

QuoteQuote:
WARNING: It is advised not to make payment via credit card due to reports of fraud. USE PAYPAL!

Summary of customer experiences from Part 3: [Will be updated]

Shipping/Handling:

-Most orders arrive well packed in several layers of bubble wrap and within 2-3 days.
-Courier can vary from FedEx, DHL or UPS. There is a new option for Registered Post which takes longer.
-Customs issues are quite rare (I'd say maybe 15% of orders).
-Cutoff for same day shipping is sometime between 12-1:30pm HK time from personal correspondence over a number of different orders.
-Insured parcels will also be marked down unless you specifically ask them not to. This is very important.

Warranties:

-Most companies will not honor grey market stock at repair centres.
-It is recommended to purchase the Mack Diamond warranty on camera bodies.

Payment and Ordering:

-New customers paying via Credit/Debit/Bank account may need to confirm details before order is sent out.
-Orders via PayPal are usually the smoothest.
-They always have a coupon code for x% off shipping, just wait for it during checkout.
-They have a Facebook store too, which from some customer experiences do not send out tracking numbers promptly. They do however have better offers from time to time.
-Some recent eBay listings have appeared sporting the DWI logo. They are fakes.
-Payment via credit card or debit card is generally not recommended – users have reported a number of issues after payment. (Thanks, Damo!) It is advised not to make payment via credit card due to reports of fraud. USE PAYPAL!

Communication:

-Emails are replied to promptly in most situations except if a product is claimed to have arrived used/damaged (sometimes).
-The local phone number is usually unattended for some reason.
-Warranty returns are hopeless.

Important Information:

WARNING: It is advised not to make payment via credit card due to reports of fraud. USE PAYPAL!
-Check to see if the items you wish to order are in stock before making payment. Check and double check to avoid any arising issues.
-Some users recommend shooting off an email or even calling the local number after placing an order to "speed things up".
-Australian consumer rights can not be exercised as Digital World International is incorporated in Hong Kong, and do not have an ABN. Your local contact for warranty and repairs is ATECH Distribution.

Feel free to add anything I may have missed, let's fill the first page up with past experiences!

For Aussie buyers I noticed this Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 is only $549 new from DCW which is genuine Oz stock with warranty. So for < $800 you could get 17-50 f/2.8 and a 70-200 f/2.8 zoom. Not a bad combo for the price.

They are a reasonable HK seller for AU market. I have bought some filters from them when I lived in AU with no problems

I noticed this too, so yesterday I picked up a nice new Siggy 70-200. Nice lens, but it has severe front focus and very soft wide open. I tested it in the shop, but did,t notice the extent of the defects till I got home and did some more serious testing. Looks like I'll have to contact them for a replacement or refund (maybe on a DA*55 F1.4??)

Seems the deal was too good to be true

Hi

There is a wrong price that we set for Tamron SP AF 17-50mm f2.8 XR Di-II LD on our web site. We are sorry for the mistake made by the product team.

The selling price for this unit should be $ 306. ( NOT $218)

If you want to continue with this order, you are required to pay the difference.

If you have any other questions please let us know.

Many thanks
