You think Phil doesn't already have one of each?

Guilty, but correct not as good as these. I doubt these two have ever been outside. They are also the first version 1975-77, mine are the later ones.

KGB used (had developed for them by Leningrad No 3 Optical Works) the Rubinar 1000/10 mirror. Mirror did the job since it was easier to carry unobtrusively. Optically optimised for good skin tones. Very heavy focus action compared with a Super Takumar.

Imho the starting prices (Startpreise) as well as the estimated values (Schätzwerte) are too high.
Please also note that this is an auction, i.e. you have to add a fee of 20% on your successful bid. Paying with credit card costs another 3%. Location is Vienna (Austria).

An interesting thing I have noticed watching eBay auctions is that those that are offered very cheap to start often attract a lot of interest and sell for good prices. Those sellers who set a high starting price protect themselves from a very low sale price (but a reserve would do that too), but seem to scare away many potential buyers, witht he result that they often end up selling for less than those who were less greedy in their starting price.

OT but....at the same auction...

... a 1923 prototype Leica 0-series went for 2.16 million euros.

Very true, or they don't sell at all.

Yeah only for a Leica! Wonder what the highest price that a Pentax camera/lens has sold for?
