about as cheap as you'll find for a autofocus lens with 300mm reach...

- The DA55-300mm is well regarded among the low-priced modern zoom lenses.

- There has been some significant progresses in zoom lens development, compared for example to prime lens development. In turn the vintage zoom lenses are not always well thought after.
