Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 HSM
Posted By: hiep2503, 06-03-2012, 01:13 PM

This is a new version of Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 HSM without OS. IQ is comparable to my DA 35mm and Sigma 50mm prime at f/2.8, and IQ becomes equal or higher than those at above f/4.0.

for the best offer, I was succesfully bought it at $615. You may offer sightly less than that. Good luck.

I would like to delete this thread, but I think it would be helpful to keep it here with some notes.
AFTER ALL, I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO BUY FROM THIS SELLER DUE TO ITS RETURN POLICY, WHICH IS TRYING TO CHARGE 15% FOR RESTOCKING FEE. I RATHER SPEND A LITTLE MORE MONEY AND BUY FROM BHPHOTO!!!!!

Why do you say that it is the non-OS version? I can't see anything on the listing indicating that. I didn't even know there was a non-OS version for the 17-50, unlike the 17-70 which is now without a stabiliser in Pentax mount.

They listed it wrong. The non OS version released in Dec. 2011 or so, to replace the older version with OS, for Pentax and Sony mounts. I bought one, which does not have OS.

I see. But one could have a nasty (well, not that OS is needed on a Pentax body anyway) surprise if they bought from this seller and found out about it only when unpacking.

nothing is packed that you need to unpack. It is just a lens a soft pouch, contained in a very nice box, no seal. Just open it and use it. In case you have a bad copy or you do not like it, be sure to return it to them in 14 days. No problem. But make sure that the lens is still in new condition when it is returned. I bought sigma 30mm f/1.4 from them, not a good copy, so I returned it for a full refund.
