Was going to purchase but postage to Oz is 32 bucks. What? For a card that weighs less than 2 grams?

The flooding in Thailand in 2011 crippled several HD Manufacturers. WD in particular lost about 75% of it's production capacity. Prices remain inflated a bit but bigger drives should be available by now.

Now that you mention it I remember- I hope that bigger drives in fact do come out!

I think the real question is why aren't there solid state drives at 2TB.

And why they're so pricey!

If 1TB SSD is $3,664.99 then 2TB would be $7K.

Also, I like to limit my SD cards to 2 GB so that if one of my sd cards fail I won't lose too many pictures. Maybe if Pentax introduces a double SD card slot I'll purchase two of these!
