You rarely see these on the used market (or any market, for that matter, there's only 1000-something of them made!), excellent macro lens.

It's too bad I didn't find this earlier while the car dealers were still open, I could have sold my wife's car. I'm sure she'd understand. Right? We should have plenty left over to get her the nicest back row beauty.

As much as I'd love to have them, I think my lens shelf would collapse if I set another lens on it- especially a large one like these.

Plus, I don't even think the resale value of all my equipment could even add up to the price of one of these...

*sigh* Just looking at the 200 macro makes me regret the decision I made with mine...

Pretty close to dropping the $4k for the FA* 300, but my better judgement got to me first...

I think these 300s are way overpriced. You'd be paying at least a US$1000 premium over what they normally change hands for between private sellers just to buy it from a presumably reputable reseller and in very good condition.
I'm starting to think we've reached the point price-wise where you'd be better off selling these and buying some more modern equivalent in another mount, body included (for example, for the price of this second-hand FA*300 you can get a brand new D7000 + Sigma 120-300/2.8 OS - well at least in Europe)

I was just looking the other day at an FA 300 2.8 at a dealer near (near being a relative term) me. He wants $6300 for it. That one was a steal.
