+1 One of my favorite lenses and I bought it off ebay not too long ago, but they seem to have doubled in price in about 12 months.....

I have noticed that nearly all lenses listed from Japan are asking top dollar, even some of the less than rare ones.

As beautiful as this lens is, I would never pay that much money for a non-AF lens. =/

Considering that turning off AF is the first thing many of us would do when using a 200mm macro or longer telephoto?

Get the Nikon D7000 with AF 200mm F4 ED-IF macro for less.

I couldn't imagine using AF on a 200mm 1:1 macro out in the field.
