With the DA550mm on the Pentax lens roadmap, these lenses might become cheaper !? Might be ....

That 80-200 is the cheapest ever I have ever seen ever, I'm sure it will go nuts, but at the moment... cheap. I'd personally really like that 180 macro.

IF it ever appears. There have been plenty on the Roap Map over the years that have never seen the light of day. Maybe Ricoh will be better but there has been absolutely nothing of late about the timing of the release of this lens. Don't hold your breath. If you want / really need a long lens then the Sigma 500 is here and now. Or switch brands for a huge selection.

It always bothers me when a ebay seller lists an item as non-returnable.

True, but he has described it sufficiently that if it is not in good shape you can still recover as "not as described". Some sellers get funny about returns, think people are just out to rip them off, maybe from bad experience. But I agree, on something that costs that much he would be better to offer a long return time, most of those items are so in demand no one is going to return it anyway.

Very much doubt it. The only competition for the proposed 560mm is the Sigma 500mm f/4.5 and we do not know what the aperture on the 560mm will be yet (unless I missed that) so maybe not even then, a 560mm f/6.3 is not going to knock the Sigma out of the running.

The other fast glass will remain expensive both because it IS expensive and because there is not much of it floating around. And some of that stuff is starting to edge into collector piece territory which means the value no longer as any relationship to the actual utility of the lens, only what someone will pay for it.

Seller pulled the listing. Annoying--there had been a couple of bids and I was going to put one in too.

Wouldn't be surprised if somebody put in a real offer for it, or the seller realized how much these things are, I think I saw one go for 2600.00 or so. Maybe it might show up again with a reviewed price.
