Yes, that's right. I never even took out the power cables from my K5 and K30 boxes. Just one cable plugged in power socket for some other power adapter, then change chargers whenever I need to charge battery

Thanks, so it ought to be easy to replace the cord if you get one with the wrong prongs with a Singapore K-30.

that is the way i thought it would be. just ships with what would be the local cord. I have a couple of different cords so when i travel i take the local cords with me (mainly acquired by leaving my plug adapters at home and needing to hit a local shop and buy a cord )

I'm so tempted, but I would have to sell my Canon T2i first.

Hi- I am wondering if anybody has ordered accessories, such as the battery grip or tripods from them ? Are there any dutyies payable for the acc. bringing them into the U.S. Not sure why there would be and not on the camera/lenses. There price are a little better on some items but think duty added would negate the difference. Thanks from a nebbie.

Welcome aboard. Well, the battery grip is not the Pentax grip and you can get it for the same or less locally so there isn't any good reason to import it. Didn't ask about any other accessories.

You do not have to replace the cord on the charger . All you need is a universal plug adapter which is fairly cheap . The Singapore version is a 120v charger so it works fine on Usa current . No voltage conversion is needed . As far as duty from FedEx , I did not have to pay any . I believe we have a duty free agreement with Singapore in th US . You should call FedEx international shipping to get that fee removed .

my k-30 body arrived safely, well packed, in the the original 18-135mm kit box (minus the lens). delivery took 7 days from order to CA, USA. fedex called me in the middle of the transit and had me fill out a FCC 740. they told me flat out that there would be no duty nor fees on a digital camera, so i will be very unhappy if i get a bill.

the charger is a K BC109 that supports world voltage 100V-240V. the line cord is detachable from the charger body. the line cord i received has a large singaporean plug, whichwill be handy the next time i find myself in singapore or europe.

i had a line cord laying around from an old IBM/Lenovo laptop AC adapter, fits the Pentax charger just fine.

thanks to everyone for all the help in this thread!

Bah! That's a British plug!

So far I quite like the 18-135 lens I purchased from Singapore. I've used it for 2-3 times with my new k-5 (although I really have not much of an idea how to operate k-5 properly yet)

@ 135mm

@ ISO1600
