Am I dreaming.... isn't it true that the Q has a 1/2.3 sensor and the XZ-1 has a 1/1.7 sensor? That would mean the Olympus has the larger sensor. Perhaps it's an earlier-generation sensor which might explain the DxO ratings.

I just tripped over this string today, so I missed the Q at $399. I might have gone for it. But I can console myself with the brand-new Panasonic GX1 body I got for $395 two weeks ago.

If you want one they keep your eyes open because the price bouncing around A LOT right now. Maximum Assured Pricing in action......

You are correct that the Olympus sensor (which is actually 1/1.63) is larger - they are different technologies though (CCD vs Backlit CMOS), for whatever that's worth.

The Q sensor may be smaller, but it is a superior sensor tech. Next gen Oly may well end up with a Sony sensor though since they now get the OMD sensor from them
