Doc.......you're killing me!

I don't really need or want this lens, but at that price for a new one.......

I've never bought from Overstock - any feedback? I read through the description and it does in fact look new and not a refub.

I usually use Reseller Ratings for feedback and they seem to have a very low rating: 3.18/10.

However, I purchased a tripod from them a couple years ago without issue. It was the cheapest price I could find, shipped quickly, and arrived undamaged.

I've bought from them numerous times, even rugs and small pieces of furniture--no problems. (Looking in my Overstock account, I see 5 items bought from them this year alone, including an inversion table.)
You can use one of retailmenot's codes: Overstock Coupon Codes: Coupons, Promo Codes, Free Shipping for Overstock.com

If you are a new customer, the 12% off link might work. Otherwise, the FREE SHIPPING ON ELECTRONICS is sure to work.

Docrwm, thanks for the link! I've ordered one. I had/sold a few copies of the kit lens, but keep coming back to it. It's light and very sharp in the 20-40mm range. With the WR, it's even nicer.

I've bought from them over the years. Never had a bad experience. Had to return one item, took a while but got my credit. I took a chance on this one as Amazon has it for around $170. I have a model II that I use a bit on my K-x. I figured it couldn't hurt to upgrade to the WR model in case I want to use it on the K-5.

This is no joke

I ordered this lens from overstock.com, this is what I received today. Keep in mind I am not joking. This is for real:

(At least the shipping was really fast). They are giving me a shipping label and a refund.
Part of the original description, did say ceiling fan but the photo did show the lens and the correct specs.

What!!?!!
(I hear the fans work great but the Pentax mount adapters are hard to find, and putting a 2x converter really degrades the airflow.)

LOL

Yeah, the customer service rep got a good laugh out of it too.

For those of you who did order this, check your UPS shipping tracking info, if it is 18.5lbs, then it is a ceiling fan, or you really lucked out with a massive 1000mm lens. You can decide what the odds are of that.
