So far all of the previous Pentax Frys blowouts have consisted of store demos with missing accessories, but a few have been lucky.

Either way, hope you guys find a great unit. I love my Q

That's very true because I rushed over there to pick up their blowout K-5 months ago only to find out that the only one left was the display, which I would not dare buy.
According to their website, the Q is available for shipping, so they may actually have some NIB available. I may go and buy that $99 Vanguard tripod after work today. If so, I'll check and see if they have any Qs left.

Fry's is definitely hit or miss. I guess I should have placed a big YMMV in the title.

I didn't catch that this price is via online store as well. The online ones should be new with no issues, it is just the store stock that I have been disappointed with.

I've reviewed the entire website ad for the Q and it says the word new in several places but nowhere is "refurbished" or "Demo" or any other term that implies less than BNIB.

It's now described as available for in-store pickup only.

Had a friend of mine in Austin go to the Frys there (none nearby me) and they only one left was a demo. They offered an additional 5%, but I passed. Oh well, have to pay a few more bucks...

I got the last NIB unit at the Fry's in Austin. I love this little camera. Thanks for the tip.
