I'm starting to think that Pentax's new marketing strategy is to make their cameras cheap in order to suck people in, and then they'll have no choice but to pay the higher lens prices. The only flaw with this is that people can just as easily jump ship due to the small size of their initial investment...
To me I feel it's like the sale for K5 isn't moving lately, they are trying to clear the stock?
Anyway, for $800 it's really a steal, but don't think they can sell many even at this low price.
This is bad for those who want to upgrade to K5II/K5IIs, really hard to sell K5 second hand for a good price now. Some friend here in Singapore just sold his seldom used K5 plus a Tamron 28-75/2.8 (still under warranty) for around $650USD!
