Just for information. I have bought from this seller before (an F 50mm 1.7) and had no issues with the transaction. The lens was as described and shipping was fast and well packaged.

I'm also not connected with the seller in case anyone was wondering.

Actually, I think the third photo shows what could be a major dent in the hood that the "woodgrain shelf-liner" is covering. Not sure, of course, so I wouldn't put up a serious offer (not that I even can) without asking to see close up photos of the hood, uncovered. If the hood is dented, the lens took a spill... and then it's maybe a $3k lens even if the glass "is pefect."

I can't see any indication of a dent, but my concern comes from the lack of photos showing the left side of the lens. All pictures are of the same side.

I bid 3.5k€ (about 4500$) but my offer was rejected. I yesterday also asked about the signs of use, functionality and the ugly wooden tape, which is wrapped around the lens hood. Still got no answer.
