$6000 is a lot of change, but there is a "Make and Offer" button...

SMC Pentax FA* 5.6/250-600 IF ED #3013827 | eBay

It even has "faux natural woodgrain finish!" Go to, well-heeled Pentaxians!

This would be a pretty good deal if the stupid wooden finish wasn't there...

Like a seriously scratched up hood? That silver FA paint is notoriously scratch-prone, but I can't imagine that anyone who'd spend $6k on a lens wouldn't call up Pentax for a replacement hood someday...

I've been watching this one since it was listed. There's one offer pending, but it's not mine .

I need two more lenses before my collection is really, yes really, complete. This one and the FA* 200 macro.

I don't have a cool $6,000 sitting around right now, so if one of you would kindly buy this and sell it to me down the road I'd appreciate it.

I was recently let go due to budget problems. I didn't get a severance, or I'd have sent the seller my offer!

Severance? Consider the purchase a long-term investment.

Anyone wish to guess at the risk of a $6k lens purchase from Czech? Even with ebay and paypal ?

Sometimes I think there'd be a huge market for anyone that finds a way to refinish those FA* silver lenses at a reasonable price. At least the seller isn't trying to pass off the woodgrain as the ultra rare "Town and Country" edition.
