K30 at QVC

Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but here goes. Yesterday, my wife received an email from QVC regarding "Special Values" and one of the items listed was the Pentax K-30 in blue, white, and black. It comes with the 18-55mm kit lens, a bag, and a 4GB card for $759.95. It includes free S/H, and if you are registered with QVC, you can get it in "6 easy payments". I am not in the market for one, and haven't really priced them, so I don't know if this is a good price or not.

Careful. QVC pulled a bait and switch with some buyers of the Q a few months back. My bet is that you won't get the K-30. You will get probably get some other maker's FF.

$850 at B&H, so looks to be a $100 saving. Possibly a real deal - not a user of QVC. FWIW - the Q incident was where they priced the Q at $300 when it was MSRP of $450 or so. A much bigger mistake, and with enough harassment, they actually sent a few users the Q afterwards.

It's about $40 below what MAP is supposed to be right now.

This looks like another QVC foulup to me. The Top line description indicates that the $759 price does NOT include the 18-55 lens. They are selling the K-30 + 18-55 for $829 at another link and it clearly says that it includes a lens in the Top Line description. If I were trying to get one from them I would get something from them that says it has a lens. Make CERTAIN you print off the ad that says 18-55 Lens in the body of the ad (it does later on that page). QVC is notorious for not knowing what the heck they are selling. Buyer Beware. You may just get a Ceiling Fan or a VS20!
