Interestingly Australia has a better price than the US on the K-5 II & K-5 IIs

K-5 II = AUD $ 1099 (B&H has is for US$1196.95)

K-5 IIs = AUD $ 1197 (B&H has it for US$1296.95)

If you apply current conversion rate the difference is not that much at all
:
US$1297 = Au$1254

But approx $60 there. Unusual to buy cheaper in Australia. That has to be a first.

Factor in shipping with the US high costs and it is very expensive. What I have found that when there is a new Pentax item released they price it taking into consideration the exchange rate at that time. What then happens they don't change the price as the rate changes. The older items are still very expensive compared to the US price, hence why I bought my 16-50 DA* from B&H.
