I've made a few purchases from Samy's Camera and can say they are top notch - I personally rate them in the same league as B&H and Adorama.

I just called to place an order. Unfortunately, they don't take Canadian payment, or ship to Canada. While I have a US shipping address I can use, the lack on Canadian payment hurts.

I wonder if anyone else will price match....

I tried to get it price matched at Adorama, the buy I talked to on the phone said there were no mail in rebates being offered by the distributor, nor could he match the price.

If this is legit, it sounds like a great deal. However, not having any rebates from the distributor is a bit... interesting. Will they be honored?

B&H also won't match the price, nor do they acknowledge a mail in rebate exists...

Ok, found out what the deal is.

The Mail in Rebate is through Promaster, who make tripods etc., and is only valid for purchases at authorized Promaster retailers.

Samy's is an authorized promaster retailer right? I saw this mail-in rebate at another place (ephotocraft) also. But, they didn't have the instant rebate as Samy's.
