That's only about $150.00 lower than what it was selling for before (I'm not talking about list price or MAP).

That's a fantastic deal. I got mine for 1200$ CND a short while ago, but the regular price in the US was 1800$...

Yeah, the MAP stuff is really annoying. The normal price for this lens should be US $1249 at all times.

Hmm I see that the price is now $1199 instead of $1149. The 50-135mm and 16-50mm are still $749 though.

Might be back to fill price before the end of tomorrow, so act fast if you want a copy!

All this is telling me: "Wait for the sales!" I bought a secondhand DA*50-135 recently, and paid nearly that new price (not that I regret it - great lens and really good condition). I hope these prices give some redress for those disaffected by the recent US pricing policy changes.

There's a Pentax 1.4x TC coming next year- I'd wait for that!

Probably- as long as you get the HSM version of the Sigma. If you don't have the HSM version, you can already use a Tamron 1.4x AF converter.

Congratulations to you folks who took the opportunity to get this lens. It's been my favorite and most used since I got mine. Truly a beautiful lens both in handling and IQ.

Enjoy!
