Pardon my cynicism and I surely do understand if you choose to delete this post.

Only in Pentax land could you mark something up 30% for 30 days and then rollback the prices 25% and call it a black Friday special.

I am happy for those who grab what they want but my attitude towards Pentax's marketing plan has not changed.

I think the prices are quite good. It isn't as though Canon and Nikon haven't raised prices over the last several years. If you look at the price of the 16-50 and 50-135 in particular are excellent prices for f2.8 zooms. The "old new" prices were too high, but getting the 50-135 to this level is surprising -- 900 ish seems like a good value for this lens to me.

At 750 they're a great value, but at 1500 they're way out of their league, IMO! BH has been saying that ever since the UPP came into effect, online Pentax lens sales virtually came to a halt.

I have the DA* 50-135, got it for $900 something AUD before the price rises, is definately worth $900 to buy and if you get it at black friday prices, its a good buy IMO
