nice deal. I wonder if they're clearing stock to make way for their new body design for the 17-50 "contemporary" lens. I'm going to wait and see what happens with that lens; it's lighter and smaller in size than this one. Still, this is a very good price for a f/2.8 mid-range zoom.

that's a steal, you'd be lucky to get that lens used along with a decent filter for $569

I'm not sure how much of a deal that is. You can easily get the Tamron 17-50 w/screw-drive AF for under $350 in like-new used condition.

Here is a new one: New Tamron 17 50mm XR F 2 8 Di II Lens for Pentax DSLR | eBay

But you are comparing a Sigma HSM lens to a Tamron screw drive lens - that does not say that the deal posted isn't any good.

This is a pretty good deal, but B&H is going to try to beat the price on Monday. Stay tuned for updates then There is also going to be a deal on the Rokinon 85mm.

Ah Price Wars, gotta love em. Thanks for all you do to coordinate and let the sellers know about these things.

Argh, I just bought this lens from them for $619! Is there any way I can get a refund of the difference?

Hmmm..if they beat the Amazon 'shuffle' $249 with free shipping, I am going to have to consider one.

Call and ask. They are usually good about such things.

I've read where other members have called about the same thing in the past. I think they have a 30 day price protection. I'm pretty sure if you call them on Monday they will give you the credit if you bought it within the past 30 days.
