That's a very good deal- though I don't think many users like the Sigma 50 because of the fact that Pentax FA 50mm is cheaper. The Sigma does have HSM and better IQ, which is a pretty big plus IMO.

Deal is gone? I see the $449 price in cart.
Also I'm looking for an advice: is it worth to move from F50 f/1.7 to this? I like the the fact that it has silent, faster motor, 9 aperture (rounded?) blades and is f/1.4. Will it give me a smoother bokeh? Is it as sharp or sharper at say f/1.8 than my F50?
The fact that it has 77mm filter thread and is bigger than F/FA50's doesn't bother me.
Thank you.

Yeah it looks like the deal is over. Many in this sub forum have been. I wonder if the mods should be routinely closing them.

@furryurry: I haven't used either lens, but I suspect you won't see much benefit from the 'upgrade.' The F50/1.7 is supposed to be one of the best, sharpest 50's from Pentax. It is light, no motor to worry about. I suspect you and your photography could do much better with the $450. The 30 mm/1.4 sigma would seem to be a better addition to your collection if you need the focal length. just my $0.02.

The Sigma 50 F1.4 is a fantastic lens, and a little bit sharper than the DA*55. It's AF is so silent, and very quick. If you already have a F/FA 50 1.4/7, you won't benefit too much from the change in IQ, but the HSM is absolutely great for taking candid shots of friends when they aren't paying attention.

Pics I've seen also show a superior bokeh to that of the FA 50mm. I'm super tempted by this lens. I have the Sigma 30mm F/1.4 and 24mm F/1.8. Both are great lenses.

The sigma 50 and the fa 50 are not really in the same category. The only thing better for the fa is the size. The sigma's rendering is sharp and dreamy. Hsm is super fast too. The colors are much better than the fa 1.4. I think the 1.7 is a better lens than the fa 1.4. The sigma is nice. Compared to the sigma 30 you get full frame, a more consistent bokeh, and Hsm. I think is much sharper too. I love mine. The only lens that is better is the da 55. I've owned all of them except the da 55 and the sigma stands alone.
