I've never heard of buydig before. Are they a legit online store? I'm really tempted to get it specially for that price...

I've also used them a few times for printer and lenses. NO problems as of one year ago and I think still no problems now.

They're the same thing as beach camera AFAIK, and are fully authorized.

I got mine from BuyDig through Ebay for $699. Hopefully this doesn't create any warranty issues.

Is there a Pentax Extended Warranty available through buydig? Seems I saw something somewhere about one being available for $20, but that might have been for the lenses.

Douge, did you receive a standard warranty card with the camera? If so, in what way could there be a problem with warranty if you submit the card to Pentax and buydig is a bona fide Pentax dealer? Just curious as I am comtemplating buying a K5 from buydig. Thanks.

You can buy it from B&H or Adorama. Just search their site for the Pentax 2 year extended warranty.

I got my K5 from BUYDIG via eBay. All you need for warranty is a copy of the sales receipt. I also got the extended warranty from B&H.
Its a great price mine was $715 a couple of months ago and the EXIF showed a build date of Aug 2012

I bought one. Still don't have it because of the Kafka-like shipping restrictions via FedEx. If you're not at home to sign for it (perhaps you work for a living like me), they insist on attempting delivery 3 straight days while you are at work. They will not let you sign the sheet they leave. They will not let you pick it up. They will not allow a re-route to your place of work. They will not listen to reason. I spoke to a flunky, then a supervisor. They were most unhelpful. What they did say was that after 3 failed delivery attempts, they will hold it at a FedEx facility for pick up for several days. Between 8-10 am only. Yes, you have a two hour window to pick up your camera. Very helpful after they hold your property hostage. I asked if they would just hold it there after one failed attempt. Sorry, sir, but we must make 3 attempts. But I won't be there to sign...can you just hold it at the facility? No, sir. Do the words customer service mean anything? No, sir.
