Sorry, I tried it out and it worked. I did not buy one but it took the code and reduced the price to $159.99.

No, that was a code offered through one of my bot sites. I think it may have a limited number of uses, many retailers are putting a counter on coupons now and only letting X of them be used. And Newegg has some real old-fashioned computer nerds who work for them
