Amazon.com: Buying Choices: Pentax K-01 16MP APS-C CMOS Compact System Camera Kit with DA 40mm Lens (Yellow)

You must go to the additional sellers page and go to the Amazon.com offering. They are out of stock but taking orders at that price. Nladt tome this happened the price didn't ladt long, but Amazon honored the sales.

Down to $314.95 as of 1/8/13

$399 now 1/18/13

Earlier orders would have been a $316.95 - most haven't received them (including myself, who ordered within an hour of this thread starting), and since it wasn't lowered to that price for a couple of weeks I'm pretty sure there is a big line ahead of the $314 buyers!

Me too! Part of me wonders if Pentax didn't have amazon hold a bunch of orders for some finance/book keeping reason (it is the day after the middle of the month afterall). I know it is a stretch, but you never know!

As big as Amazon is, unless there are 1000's of orders for this, I would say just about anything other than some Amazon buyer (or algorithm these days) doing what they normally do is a stretch. I worked in logistics for a while and it was beneficial to fill an order as quickly as you had stock. Holding onto goods increases your liability. Though, I agree that it would be cool if they were just holding onto orders until tomorrow and then letting the flood gates open.

Maybe Amazon is just trying to stop the huge wave (I assume) of buyers. In the other thread, someone that ordered, but had the ship window, just got a delivery confirmation.

Don't misquote me!

Not a notification, but a change from the expected span of delivery dates to an exact date (of next tuesday) in my amazon orders page (I paid $3.99 for overnight...prime member) - meaning it'll likely be shipped on monday.
