Like I said earlier on in this thread, I'm not too fussed if I get it or not, as I have cameras, mirrored and mirrorless, coming out of my ears! What a mess!

Old Pentax user struck again

Started years ago with the Honeywell and then the Spotmatic and loved them, of course. Bought a bunch of lenses. Then an ES which was great until I sent if off to be cleaned. What I got back was junk. Sad - maddening. Then the K1000 which I'd still be using if I had not moved (kicking and screaming) to digital. Now I probably won't go back. Bought the K100D sevenish years ago and it was just a bit too much for me. Then I regressed to Canon and I like their system. I'll keep using it. Now I see this strange looking K01 and I've just ordered one. I'll have to wait for a week to get it. I read that I can use my old K mount lenses which I am looking forward to doing. I want to feel like I felt with I was 24 and using my ES. Can buying a mere camera do that?

I have always loved Pentax. Just a little off beat. A little unto themselves kinda thing. I see lots of people using Nikon's and Canon's, but seldom a Pentax user. When I do, I walk over and say hi to them. Is there a secret Pentax handshake? The K01 styling appeals to me. Yellow. "Weird looking camera thar, dude." "yeah, neat, huh."

So, hellow everybody out there in Pentax land. I'm glad to see so many of you here.

Ho boy... Just checked the status of my order and now I have this message on the Delivery estimate: "Delivery estimate: We need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate. We'll notify you via e-mail as soon as we have an estimated delivery date." Earlier today it had a window of January 29, 2013 - February 28, 2013 (or somewhere around that, can't remember the exact dates).

Send Amazon an email. They should upgrade you to one day shipping and give you an updated delivery estimate for the 11th through the 20th

I got my white kit from B&H and its really cool. I love the feel of the camera and the looks are funky. I am not going to have time to go out shooting with it until the weekend, but I will take a few indoor pics tonight and play with it.
