Take a pic and look at the exif in photome software.

Slightly more complicated than just looking at the Exif data for build date. There is an article and link to a program (simple) here:

So it was over a year old when bought and I certainly haven't taken anywhere near that many pics.

It may well be the case that they had 2 batches of Q's made, all in the Oct to May 2011-2012 timeframe.

Don't! Don't think any more, I mean. At that price, it's a bargain. I bought a Q secondhand, with 01 and 02, at a much higher price, and I've never regretted it for a moment.

Edit: too late, it seems, now. Pity, but a lesson in the old maxim about hesitating...

Hey Ash, nice to see another Q owner in Qld.

I actually stumbled into Teds just before Christmas for a browse (I never usually bother with Teds because of their pricing) and saw two on a manager's special for $199. When I asked the manager about them, he looked like he was ready to offer a free set of steak knives if I walked out the store with one.
