AL stands for aspherical lens (which is good) and has nothing to do with the plastic mount found on this lens hehe.

And yes, lots of lenses at Adorama currently have lower in-cart pricing.

$60 shipping to australia!!

Addressed at Australians; buying from eGlobal is $182. A touch more expensive than the US, but that delivery price...

Do you think they would supply you with the list that do that so we don't have to hunt!?

I can't really justify buying that lens (not enough need between my 21 and 50, it wouldn't see much use), but it makes me dream a bit...

Bought...even though I have the 40 Limited. Did I step on my own toes? The 35's sale price made me blank out and go on autopilot, LOL.

I think you'll find there are times when the DA 40 limited's f/2.8 is not quite fast enough, and that's when you'll reach for the DA 35 f/2.4. In addition, sometimes the DA 40's FOV is just a bit too cramped, whereas the DA 35's FOV is "just right."

Thanks, that makes sense. I can cut down on zooming with my feet, especially if I'm having a so-so day, physically, and don't want to push my luck.

I use my DA 40 limited when I'm outside and have a little more distance between me and the subject, plus I get more natural light. I use my FA 35 indoors for low light situations and because I can't back up as much inside a house!
