Pentax K-30 w/ 18-135mm WR lens and bundle for $979
Posted By: colonel00, 01-20-2013, 01:17 PM

Adorama currently had a free bundle with the purchase of the K-30 with the 18-135 WR lens. Price is $979 once added to your cart and I believe it is the cheapest currently for the 18-135 kit.

Pentax "Special Bundle"for K30 Includes:
Pentax DSLR Sling Bag 2
Pentax AA Battery Holder for K-30
Pentax 2-Year Extended Warranty for K-30
8GB SDHC Memory Card

Not really sure how good the SD card is and I don't have any knowledge about the bag but the AA battery holder and the extended warranty included is a bonus in itself. Anyone have any experience with the bag? The value of the bundle on the site is $169.95 but that is probably inflated a bit. The battery holder and warranty would total up to $50 leaving $120 for the bag and SD card. The bag is $60 at B&H. Anyway, for free you can't beat it.

Aww, rats. It's already listed as out of stock. I was ready to pounce! But I guess I should wait anyway, because I really want a white one. Patience, patience...

Well, I think you can still order it and they will ship when they get new stock. I am sure they will get more product soon. I just hope the bundle stays around until the end of the month when I can finally make a purchase. Then again, might find some better deals popping up.

That's actually a genuine Pentax Sling Bag - reviews can be found here:

Thanks for the link. I am still not sure they are the same though as this is labeled as the Sling Bag 2 and it looks to have some minor differences. For instance, in the all black version (assuming that was the Sling Bag 1) looks to have an exterior pocket on the middle section of the outside. On the new version it is really hard to tell if it does as well. Oddly, I cannot find too much information on it.

Interesting. At any rate, I am impressed that they are including a brand name bag. I did once buy one of their bundles with a camera a while back - cost me $1 more. It was an Adorama branded bag and was actually very nice.

Yeah, I'm not going to complain about anything for free. Most of the time these bundles are tacked onto the price and you end up paying a little more for a bunch of crap you don't need.

One the bag, I can't even find it on Pentax's site as they still show the all black one.

The Sling Bag 2 must be an updated version - here's a B&H link that at least has one review:

And here is the regular Sling Bag with lots of reviews which is now discontinued:

Yep, that is where I got the $60 value from in my original post. Unfortunately even Adorama doesn't carry it individually but only in the bundle. And, the only pics I can find of it are all the same front shot. Anyway, thanks for the help. I am not going to worry too much about it. I just want the bundle to be available in a week or so.

This is a great K-30 bundle package, one of the best prices out right now. And also a reputable dealer. It has gone up $120 from the intro price, which is within a few dollars of what B&H is selling it for also.

Yeah, looks like Adorama bumped their in-cart price by $45 up to $1024
