Did I miss something? from the press release on the sigma website, the following SKUs are listed:

SIGMA : 0085126 301569
Canon : 0085126 301545
Nikon : 0085126 301552

No Pentax.

They might be clearing out stock but then there will be nothing left!

Not bad - you held out for 31 of 365 days - that's like 10% or something!

LOL, hilarious, Stan! Now to figure out whether I can justify adding a Sigma 30 to my stable of lenses... fits right in there between F28mm f/2.8 and FA35mm f/2.0... love the f/1.4 capability but wary of the much larger size and weight. In my mind, prime lenses should be compact and lightweight like the DA limited series. This Sigma would be as heavy as my DA 18-135 zoom. But I do like the f/1.4 of my FA 50 lens; it's just that 50mm is a bit too long on APS-C whereas 30mm would hit a very nice sweet spot...

I snagged the 30/1.4 during the last round of sales, and it's a fun lens on the K-01. It's a tad bigger than I would like, but not beer-can big. I prefer the styling of the new version (and the corner sharpness is supposed to be better, yadda yadda yadda), but I'm happy I pulled the trigger rather than wait for a possible K-mount version.

Yeah, who knows when Sigma will release a K-mount version of their new 30? plus it won't be any where near this cheap any time soon. of course, HSM is very nice to have...

Yeah, the screwdrive AF is a little shrill. But a lens in the bag is worth two on the wishlist!

It was just $239 + shipping from Adorama through Amazon. They showed 2 left and I placed 1 in my cart. By the time I went to check out, I received the "No stock" message! :-(
Someone got a good deal!
