CBC Computar Bank Camera Lens P2828FI 28mm F 2 8 New | eBay

I recently bought one of these - its an M42 thread mount manual focus lens so easily adaptable to just about any camera. Made in Japan, metal construction. Someone has posted images:

Thanks

Any recomendations for adapter? Third party but the one which works - too many and all those horror stories about ruined cameras and lenses...and Pentax one is quite pricey.

Just get a generic adapter and take the spring clip out.

I decided to take a chance on this lens. For $17.43 (NY sales tax) there is very little risk.

So did I.
They're going like hotcakes!

Thanks to the OP!

I got one as well, hilariously cheap. For the money if it even performs like a toy lens I'm cool with that.

They're apparently very sharp and have no CA, at least according to this: Computar 2.8 28mm M42

Thanks OP! I got one too. So cheap! Less then a meal for two at McDonalds
I will be testing it in the snow when I get it (if there's any snow left). I had to send it to my Brother because they don't ship to Canada.

I have an M42 adapter and removed the pin/spring because it is a pain to remove from the camera.(I think that's how I got a spec of dust on my sensor ) Only problem is with my 200mm super takumar, the lens moves when I focus :S Smaller lenses don't move though.
I probably won't be using the 200mm soon anyway, but it is a beautifully built sharp lens.

I'm thinking of grabbing one for my Spottie - the ad is calling it a "Bank Camera Lens". Where does it specify the M42 mount? I can't find the mount info. Thanks!

It doesn't but this thread says it is...

Computar 28mm f2.8 M42 screw mount - $20 - Micro Four Thirds User Forum

CBC Computar makes CCTV lenses in C and CS mounts, but this doesn't appear to be one. And if it does turn out to be C-mount maybe i'll get a Q...

I did a little digging, using the part number, P2828FI .
Found here (translated) that it is a P-mount.
From what I can find, P-mount = m42.

Perhaps the P in the number is for P-mount.
And I'm almost convinced the lens is made by Kowa.

Thanks! I bought one too. But what kind of adapter do we need? Any one has any recommendation for a generic adapter may be from ebay?
