Sony RX100 as low as $568 with trade-in for any old/broken camera Adorama is offering a deal for the RX100 when you trade in your old camera.

The value of the trade-in is camera dependent; however, even if you don't have a camera that have any value now (Canon A300) you will still get $80 off.

I own the RX100. I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but it is far superior in IQ, carryability, and innovative technology to the Pentax Q (e.g., when I turn the camera on and the lens extends for a distance that is much greater than the thickness of the more-or-less flat body I always wonder how they did that.). I also own the Q, which is fun but, for me, produces disappointing pictures and doesn't fit well in a pocket, at least with the 02 lens. So if you need a back-up camera and can only have one and can afford it, the RX100 is the way to go, as I see it.

I would not put the Q and RX100 in the same class since the Q has a small 1/2.3" sensor and the RX100 has a much larger 1" sensor . The Q was selling for as low as $189 with zoom lens and the RX100 is over $600. The Q has the advantage of working with K-mount lenses with a 5.6x crop or fast C-mount lenses like the 12.5mm F1.3 that I have.

They are Apples and Oranges. I own a Q and enjoy it, but this deal was a good price break and for those with an old camera they can take advantage of the trade in option and lower their cost on a well liked camera.
