Mine is on the way, due to arrive tomorrow.
I'm sure Amazon will honor your order, hopefully it's not too delayed.

I wonder what triggers these instant sales? (Wasn't announced as deal of the day or anything I don't think?) Just a mistake, or maybe the stock was sitting around for too long and the computer flagged it? Since the other versions of this lens (Rokinon, Bower, Samyang) seem much more popular for whatever reason, AND this Vivitar-branded one has that one review that says it is garbage out of a total of only 5 reviews making the overall rating not very good, AND the fact that Vivitar calls it 13mm instead of 14mm making it unclear that it is in-fact the same lens as the others -- did all of that create a situation where no one had bought any for a long time, and so some algorithm kicked in to get rid of them? If we write a lot of bad reviews of good lenses to suppress demand, will the prices go down?

I just hit the Amazon site and it shows $334.31. Alas! A day or two late and many dollars short.

It also shows they won't ship for 2-3 weeks. Me wonders if they will get more stock in, and what the price will be when they do. Or was the point just to get rid of them, and so they will no longer keep it in the warehouse? Obviously this version was a poor seller, and actually I see Amazon doesn't even carry any of the others. (Amazon themselves, even though other dealers sell the Rokinon version via Amazon.)

Yes, amazon has algorithm that monitor other site item price and adjust accordingly - most likely a site somewhere having the same lens as sale item and amazon algorithm kick in and adjust price. Their price fluctuate frequently, but such a big swing is rare and its all luck.

Aw, wish I'd have seen this sooner... great price for a great lens.

I owned the Vivitar Series 1 13mm for Sony/Minolta and used it on FF Minolta 35mm SLRs. Would love to have had one for my Pentax...

Received it today. It's a fun lens. I wonder if I will really use it, but it's fun. A lot wider than 18mm from my kit lens.

It's a great lens in my wish list for a long time.
Never got a chance to find a discounted one.

You need to use it on FF or film to make full use of it.
