WOW!

These won't last long, I'm sure. $499 for the awesome and rare Sigma 50-150 F2.8 EX DC HSM II.
50-150mm F2.8 EX DC HSM II Refurbished | Sigma

Last time it was offered in the Sigma Outlet Store was for $559.

As discussed here in this thread:
https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-price-watch/195883-refurbished-si...nses-sale.html

And Edgar does an excellent write-up of this lens here:

Ordered. Didn't specifically say it was for Pentax mount, but it was under the Pentax mount category, so let's hope! Thanks for the heads up!

Congrats! I think you will be happy with the lens. And if not, you should be able to easily "flip" the lens here in the marketplace for at least what you paid, if not even more... OR, according to their return policy:

"At SIGMA, our goal is to ensure your complete satisfaction with your purchase. If, for any reason you are dissatisfied with your purchase, you can return it to SIGMA within 15 days of receipt of the item(s)."

Yes, this is the Pentax model if you go by the manufacturer part number 691109-R. Or you can browse from the main Sigma Outlet page and select "Pentax mount" and you'll see the full list of refurbished Sigma lenses, which includes the 50-150. (It normally doesn't!)

Yeah thanks again! I've been looking at a fast 70-200 range tele, and was pretty much ready to drop the money on the Tamron 70-200mm for $770 on Amazon. But this is much more exciting. Little less range, but way cheaper. Very excited!

No problem, I'm always happy to help out fellow Pentaxians save some cash and score a lens for a great deal. (I know I've been the beneficiary of such "price watch" notices in the past). Especially lenses like this one which are so rarely for sale, whether used or refurbished. I think you'll find that this lens will go nicely with your Sigma 10-20 and Sigma 17-70 ...

Not that this lens needs any more promotion, but here's a thread from a while back that compares the DA* 50-135 with the Sigma 50-150.

I ordered one! A little wary of getting a refurbished unit, but just hoping that it will turn out to be a good one!

In for 1. Thanks for the heads up! I've been looking for a fast zoom, but I just could not make myself pay the high asking price of the Tamron/Sigma 70-200 or Pentax DA* 50-135.

So did I, and I feel the same regarding refurbished, but we can always send it back if we are not happy with it. I do wish the warranty was more than 90 days in case the HSM fails down the road. This is stated by many to be as good or better than the Pentax DA* 50-135, which is currently selling for $1596 right now at B&H and Adorama, so I decided to take the risk and try it out. Fingers crossed...

The HSM on mine has been reliable so far. Historically, HSM has been apparently far less-failure prone than SDM. My 50-150 is a refurbished one and when I got it, it looked brand-new. You get the original box, not a plain white box like I got with my refurbished Canon camcorder.

Ordered one too. Not sure how many do they have in stock. BTW not sure if you checked, this one is not compatible with the teleconverter

The last time they had these on sale in August 2012, they seemed to last only a few days-- and I recall they went out of stock, then came back briefly a few days later, only to them go out of stock again. So, if any of you are on the fence but leaning towards getting it, I'd do it sooner rather than later or you might be disappointed! LBA!!!

PS: Yes, you're right, this doesn't work with the Sigma teleconverter.
