Apply code VMESAVESU20 when you checkout using V.me by Visa, for a final price after rebate of $454.

and if you wanted another deal on a Tamron lens, see Tamron 10-24 for $429 final price after mail-in rebate of $50 and using the $20 off coupon code listed above. Very very tempting....

I'm curious as to what this V.me by Visa is - is it another information gathering type scheme?

No, it is Visa trying to start up a PayPal-like competitor...

I didn't think they had that lens on the old deal, seems I was wrong and this has been old news for a while Still, I got my 10-24 for $369 about 18 months ago BNIB from an AD so this sale is finally getting close to that older figure!

Yeah, it was definitely cheaper a few years ago when there was a more generous mail-in rebate deal offered by Tamron. Still, getting $50 back is not bad, and the added $20 instant off, plus FS, makes this a very interesting deal for me... the 10-24 doesn't come up that often used in the Marketplace and when it is, usually sells for $375-400 anyway, so what's a little more money spent to get a 6 year warranty?? LBA, LBA.... can you tell I haven't purchased a new lens in a while???

My thinking exactly. It is amazing how useful a rectilinear lens in the 10-24 range is for interior photographs.

Well I have saved up my pennies and traded-in some old unused laptops to Amazon for store credit, and so I was able to get a very good deal on a Tammy 10-24, which should arrive sometime next week (I really need to get Prime shipping!). Can't wait to test this baby out! I'm looking forward to the flexibility of the wide angle zoom. I love my DA 15 for the compact size and awesome IQ, but sometimes it's not quite wide enough, and other times, I wish I could zoom in for a tighter shot (of people) without needing to change lenses. Hope this fits the bill!
