Yes I know. I bought an FA 31 Limited for AU$841 plus $20 for shipping. As soon as my transaction finished the price went up to 1200. Frankly, I can't believe my luck.

That is such a good price!!! I wish I can get it at that price too.

If you don't like the lens, I won't mind get it off you.

I have owned one before and sold it to move to Nikon.. it is my favourite lens and won't be selling this one. If there's something wrong with the lens I will get a repalcement. Sorry for you that they changed the price soon after I and one other person bought one.. I got lucky for a change.

Yes, Some prices in AU are a bit ridiculous... but the 60-250 is the best price I can find in the world.

Yes went to WEB store and got a final figure of $840 odd $ on a FA77. Rip off when "they" CR Kennedy are selling on Ebay for $780 the very same item.

If they want people to use their Online Web store then be realistic with prices.

Yes, I don't understand why some of the WEB store prices are even more expensive than local aussie stock sold by other retailers (e.g. DCW, Teds, Digidirect). For example, the RRP of the MX-1 is $499 yet they sell it for $549 before discount, go figure?

If I was retailer, I'd be very annoyed if the importer/distributor was selling them for less than me. I had that happen years ago when I was selling model stuff (planes/boats/cars) where the importer was selling stock out of their bricks-and-mortar store for less than I could buy from them.

I simply stopped selling their products.

I just looked at their ebay store. DA 55-300 is $349 + $8 postage... on their website it is $729. The DA 35 is $220 on their ebay store and $319 on their web store. Still, I can't decide on the DA* 300 or DA* 60-250.

My point is, with the easy accessibility of prices these days on the Internet, how do they expect any business at some of the prices they are listing? or selling something for more than the aussie RRP when you're the official Pentax supplier. Potential customers are info savvy these days.

dcxpert Althought I've seen it alleged online that it is a CR Kennedy staff member's store and not CR Kennedy themselves but the con notes I've received list CR Kennedy as the shipper.

cheers mike.. I saw that but wasn't certain if that was the one..

I think my FA31 was cheap because it was either:
1. Old stock they wanted to clear because the Sigma 35/1.4 for Pentax is due any day now (CR Kennedy are the Sigma distributor as well as Pentax)
2. A loss leader to get people fired up over the Online Store
3. A returned item that they wanted to get rid of
4. About to be discontinued or redesigned for Digital so they are clearing the decks.
